Raging
Bulls
“Bullo River is so enormous that
some of the ranges have never been named, or even visited. There
are galleries of Aboriginal rock art that have lain undisturbed
for thousands of years; we later explore one such site, its walls
decorated with giant four fingered hands and strange hieroglyphics…The
food is remarkably varied. The home-grown beef was superb, and I
especially liked the dense richness of the fresh barramundi cooked
in paperbark and monster mud crabs.”

Bullo and Beyond
“That’s the station in front of
us, bellows the pilot above the Cessna’s engine noise. The
Station is everything you can see - from here to the horizon...It’s
not long before even the most urbanised southerner falls under Bullo’s
spell. First there are the brilliant sunsets that linger like molten
iron in the blue-black sky.”
