Gail and Paul Widmer own and operate Meringa Springs. The main lodge is located on the top of a small hill, with the four villas located further down the incline. With the wilderness setting, it makes the ideal spot for wildlife spotting, with numberous kangaroos usually seen at dawn and dusk.

Enjoy a delicious mix of Australian and international cuisine, as prepared by local and visiting chefs. On summer evenings, enjoy pre-dinner drinks while soaking up the views from the sunset bar. A spacious open fire is welcoming on those cooler evenings.

The lodge is also ideally situated to explore the Grampians National Park, famous for its brilliant scenery such as massive rock outcrops, deep gorges, sheer cliffs, waterfalls, lookouts, wildflowers, eucalypt forests and native wildlife. Meringa Springs is close to McKenzie Falls, The Balconies, Lake Wartook, Hollow Mountain and a network of well maintained walking trails.

Accommodation

All villas and king rooms are beautifully appointed and enjoy wonderful vistas of Wartook Valley and the Asses Ears.

The villas offer double spa baths, double showers, separate lounge, large private sun-deck, individual control air-conditioning, colour television, CD / DVD Player, mini-bar and other amentities.

The king rooms offer similar amenities but do not include the spa baths, seperate lounge and have a large patio instead.

Activities

If you would like to spice your stay with some adventure then you'll find Meringa Springs an ideal hub from which to explore the region.

Many excellent bushwalks are in close proximity, as well as world-class rock climbing and abseiling with the Grampians Mountain Adventure Company.

Nearby, the Grampians Horse Riding Centre - caters to both beginner & advanced skill levels.

Wildlife spotting from the lodge is fantastic, you may have the opportunity to view kangaroos from your villa.

Light twin-engine aircraft to a nearby airstrip. A 10 minute vehicle transfer to Meringa Springs.

Road Access

From Melbourne it takes approximately 3 hours to drive to Meringa Springs.
